Anterior Segment Reconstruction in ICE

Anteria Segment reconstruction of the Cornea

Have you ever wondered how we can reconstruct a normal pupil for patients with ICE and issues with glare? See the beow video to see more.

This educational video demonstrates tips and tricks used during a complex anterior segment reconstruction in a patient with ICE Syndrome, a Baerveldt Tube, corneal decompensation, a cataract and almost total iris loss. I perform a cataract extraction, intra-ocular lens insertion, Human Optics custom made artificial iris implantation into the capsular bag (customised to match the other eye) and a Descemet's Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty.
